Videos from January 25th, 2012 in Tahrir Square

Activists with the April 6 Movement speak to crowds gathered on the anniversary of the January 25th protests that led to President Hosni Mubarak’s ouster.

Syrian and Egyptian activists chant slogans of solidarity against military rule and the Assad regime in a tent outside the Arab League building near Tahrir Square.

Supporters sing along to tongue-in-cheek revolutionary songs making fun of the threats of “thuggery” and the divisions between the Muslim Brotherhood, Salafis, and Liberals.

“Ultras,” the hardcore supporters of Egypt’s football clubs, chant slogans while donning security force helmets and holding up posters with bullet casings attached, presumably from violent clashes outside the Ministry of Interior and the People’s Assembly last month.
